Limit # of items on axis / Preset Y axis with set values

I am doing a real time graph where I am graphing 100+ points per second.  I would like to set the graph up so the X axis (which represents time passed in seconds) only shows integers rather than trying to break the view down into tenths of seconds.  When the graph first starts, it shows 0.2, 0.4, 0.65, 0.78, etc.  I would like it to only show 0,1,2,3...

I do have '<d3:FollowWidthRestriction Width="6"/>' set so once we get up to about 8-9 seconds, then the axis shows 8,9,10,11...and no longer breaks things down to tenths of seconds.

Sort of related, but I would also like to pre-set the value of the Y axis to always remain between -5 and 5 or something similar.

Any ideas?

From an earlier thread:

((NumericTicksProvider)((NumericAxis)plotter.MainHorizontalAxis).TicksProvider).MinStep = 1;
